Bulldogs are especially susceptible to heat stroke so if you’re a bulldog owner, pay extra attention to helping your dog stay cool.  Keep them out of the sun, walk in the early morning or later in the evening, use cooling mats that can be placed in their crate or bed, offer plenty of water, and provide an air conditioned room in your home.   In this blog image, a cute bulldog is catching a breeze from a fan placed on the ground in front of him.   Ahhhh….that feels good!

At the Bryn Mawr Kennel Club Dog Show I saw this girl sitting in a chair with her Vizsla on her lap.  It was just the cutest thing – especially when the dog rested his head against hers while they watched the other Vizsla’s in the ring.   This is exactly the reason why I photograph pets!  Seeing their relationship and having a chance to photograph them just made my day!   It’s this type of image that I look for when I am out photographing dogs at a show or just pets in public.   Below is another image where you can see the sweet dog’s face.

Take time to stop and smell the flowers….every day.

I’m so proud that Rufus and Jefferson’s family chose to use one of my photos for an ad in Showsight Magazine!  That’s my photo of Jefferson on the right from the Harrisburg Kennel Club Dog Show in April.  Doesn’t he look just like his Grandpa Rufus?  They are both too cute for words!  Thanks Tom and Barb for choosing my image for the ad!  Here’s a link to Showsight…the ad is on pages 138-139:  http://www.showsightonline.com/

I love to watch “Roy” [Ch. Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins] in the ring.  He’s elegant, graceful, has a gorgeous coat, and lots of personality.  Roy is a brown Bearded Collie and is the #1 herding dog in the country.  At the Bryn Mawr Kennel Club Show he was right in front of me during the Group judging and the only lens I had with me was a 70-200mm.  I had a foot injury and found one of the few chairs to be had, so I wasn’t about to move.  Needless to say, I have a lot of close ups, like this one.  To learn more about Roy, visit his webpage here:  http://tolkienoes.com/Tolkien_Raintree_Mister_Baggins.htm
