In this image you will get a good look at the Chow Chow’s distinctive blue-black tongue.  Isn’t this a beautiful dog?  I love the breed!  They are described as “regal” and “lion-like” with an independent and stubborn “cat-like” personality.  The breed originated in China and is a hunter and guard dog.  They have a unique appearance – a large head with small eyes and ears and almost a “scowling” look.  They are so fluffy and cute that I always want to give them a big hug when I see them!

Who knew that swimming could be so exhausting?  I was so tired that mom had to wrap me in a towel and take me home!  Okay, okay, so I wasn’t technically “swimming”.  I was in the baby pool that has only 6″ of water, but for someone like me who is vertically challenged, that is DEEP!  I could barely stand!  Below is an image of me playing ball with one of my pals!  We had a ball…get it?  Ball….like tennis ball!  BOL BOL [barking out loud!]!!!

For those still dealing with the effects of Hurricane Irene, I thought we could all use a little giggle right about now.  This is a scene from last week’s Doggie Dip Day at the pool.  The Boston Terrier was being rescued from a curious new friend!  “Save me Mom!”  🙂  Be safe everyone!

What a super model!  Don’t you love that coy over the shoulder pose?

Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone along the East coast that may be in the path of the hurricane.
Stay safe!
