Happy Halloween from me and my “Moo-Cat” Sebastian!
(In this image Sebastian is trying to figure out the best way to escape from this photo session and get out of the cow costume!)

There are breeds that I seem to gravitate toward when I’m at a dog show and I photograph them frequently.  Not so with the Sussex Spaniel.  Oh it’s not because I’m not a fan of the breed.  Quite the opposite….they are one of my absolute favorites.  I just don’t see all that many of them at shows.  When I do, however, I make a point of getting to their ring at the appropriate time to watch them and snap a few photos.  I believe there was only one Sussex at the Devon Kennel Club show and I managed this image that I feel conveys the complete trust that this dog has in his/her handler.  What a sweet expression!

This Bulldog and I feel the same way about the 8″-14″ snowstorm coming our way tomorrow!  Just miserable!  It’s October, folks!   Yes, and I was one of the crazies who ran out to the grocery store a little while ago to buy milk and bread….I didn’t need eggs!   🙂  Stay dry and safe everyone!

This little baby Keeshond is sitting pretty in her owner’s lap.  I think that she is rooting for her older friends in the show ring and crossing her paws that her favorite wins a ribbon!  Someday she’ll be ready for the ring, too, but right now she is just taking it all in as a puppy and learning the ropes!

I’m so excited!  Some of my images from the 2010 National Dog Show are going to be used for media inquiries for this year’s show!  That means that when the media inquires about the show, my images will be sent out with the press releases!  Of course, it will be up to the media on whether to use the images and which ones, but I’m very honored!  Be sure and watch the 2011 National Dog Show on NBC immediately following the Macy’s parade on Thanksgiving Day!  David Frei and John O’Hurley will be hosting & they are a great team!  Mark your calendar and don’t miss it!  I’ll have images to share next month!
