Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year from snowy Pennsylvania!

It was a cold and blustery day today, but that is perfect weather for this Husky and his owner who were out for a walk in Historic Bethlehem, Pa.   In contrast to the days before Christmas, the streets of downtown Bethlehem were a little empty, even though the Christmas carols were still being played throughout the shopping district.  Everyone was inside the beautifully decorated stores or the elegant Hotel Bethlehem, trying to stay warm.  I must admit, I didn’t stay outside very long myself!  Brrrrr!

One of the best things about The National Dog Show Presented by Purina is that it’s a benched show, meaning that the dogs and handlers must remain in their benching area when not in the show ring.  This gives everyone an opportunity to meet the dogs, learn about the breeds, and talk with the owners/handlers.  I saw so many families at the show and the kids were just ooohing and ahhhing over all of the dogs!  It was so much fun to watch!  Of course, the dogs loved all of the attention, too!  Here’s a photo of a little boy getting acquainted with a cute Boxer.

One of my favorite things to do when I was little was to pull out my box of 64 Crayola crayons [with the sharpener in the back!] and a coloring book and color.  I was a very neat little artist.  I always wanted the colors to stand out and so if the coloring book drawings didn’t have really dark lines, I would add my own black lines on top to make my colors “pop”.  I also made sure that I always stayed within the lines!  I still like the look of a photo framed in black and I enjoy enhancing the black lines in images with software.  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas day!

Blessings to all for a very Merry Christmas!
