Don’t tell Brewster and Savannah, but I was out photographing cats over the weekend at the Sign of the Cat Fanciers and Oriental Shorthairs Show in Easton, Pa.  They might get jealous because I was spending time with other cats, but on the other hand, they might be happy that for a change I wasn’t photographing THEM! The blog image features a beautiful blue eyed Birman.  This breed is color pointed with four distinctive white feet known as “gloves”.  Their blue eyes are gorgeous!  My Angel cat Tara was thought to be part Birman – she had the points and blue eyes, but not the gloves.

I haven’t had a “Whoa Stop!” moment in a while!  A “Whoa Stop!” moment is one that occurs when I’m driving along and see a scene that just HAS to be photographed!  This scene caught my eye as I was enroute to another location the other day.  I made a mental note that on the way home I needed to stop and take a few photos to capture the glory of Spring color.  No matter which direction I pointed my camera, the frame was filled with pink Cherry Blossom trees!  I felt that I needed an anchor element and this giant tree with the sprawling branches was my choice.  It was especially appealing because the large tree does not yet have any leaves and I like the contrast between that and the pinks and greens in the rest of the landscape.  Today was a very damp and dreary day in Eastern Pennsylvania and this image is just what I needed to get the week off to a cheerful start!

My cats are shedding like crazy right now …. ’tis the season!   It seems that they weren’t used to being brushed or combed very much so we’re making progress in that area – more brushing and less chewing on the bristles!  I need to stock up on more lint brush refills, though!  I can only imagine how much shedding occurs with a cat that has as much coat as this one!  Aren’t those golden eyes beautiful?  This image is from the Sign of the Cat Fanciers and Oriental Shorthair show in Easton, Pa.

This family is all dressed up and ready for a luau!  The two Golden Doodles are therapy dogs and they were on hand today for the costume contest at “Paws on the Promenade” at The Promenade Shops in Saucon Valley, Pa.  The event was a huge success and all proceeds benefit local animal rescue groups.  Many of the shops were dog-friendly and offered treats and water for our furry friends, plus discounts for their humans.  I saw a Corgi shopping for Pandora charms and a Golden Retriever browsing in the women’s clothing department at L L Bean!  So much fun!

Can anyone name the handler of this beautiful Borzoi?  Hint – he often wears really cool colored sports jackets!
