Out of the Fridge / in Front of the Lens

Last weekend I bought a gerbera daisy with a plan to photograph it using the Lensbaby.  As luck would have it, a sharp turn toppled the plant in the car and one of the flowers broke off.  To keep my cat, Socrates, from eating the plant, I have had to store it in the refrigerator…one of the few places that Socrates can’t get his paws into.   Socrates LOVES to try and eat plants.  Needless to say, I have NONE in my home…all are at work.  My office looks like a rainforest.  The good news is that the chilly temps in the fridge have kept the flower looking nice, so I may have another shot at photographing it this weekend.  In the meantime, here’s one from Sunday – photographed with the Lensbaby 3G and converted to black and white.  The color version is below.
