Oh my gosh … I want this dog!! Is this not the cutest face in the world? This Cavalier King Charles Spaniel reminds me of the dog I had when I was little, though mine was a Cocker Spaniel, but with the same coloring. My dog even had a red coat like this! This little one was busy watching the action at the Chester Valley Kennel Club Dog Show in Ludwig’s Corner, Pa. yesterday.

These two Chihuahuas were enjoying the sights as they cruised around the dog show in their pretty pink stroller! No worries about wet paws for these two! What a life! The answers to my previous blog entry called “Guess the Breeds” will be posted over the weekend, so stay tuned. If you missed it, check out these photos and see if you can guess what breeds I photographed: http://betsydallasphoto.com/WordPressNew/?p=3036

An outdoor dog show is not without it’s challenges. On this day, a heavy rain came early in the morning, which left some areas wet and muddy. The handlers all dress beautifully when showing their dogs – the men wear suits and ties and the women most often suits, dresses or skirt outfits. Footwear is another story…you won’t see sneakers or stiletto heels. Instead the handlers wear flat dress shoes as they are often trotting around the ring with the dogs. I like to photograph the contrast of the dogs against a handler’s colorful skirt or as in this image…colorful boots! This is an adorable West Highland White Terrier who wasn’t afraid to get HIS paws wet or muddy! 🙂
