Pearly Whites
Posted on September 12, 2010 in Animals, Pet Photography
No trip to the mall is complete until I’ve visited with all of the dogs, cats, hamsters, ferrets, and bunnies who call the pet store their home…hopefully temporarily. Today I dropped in and there were several dogs in open top pens so that you could pet them. I was petting an adorable Lhasa Apso when the little devil grabbed my sweater and wouldn’t let go! Store personnel had to come and “unattach” him from me because my other arm was full with my purse and a shopping bag. My cats were mysteriously sniffing my sweater when I got come because it probably smells like “doggie breath”! 🙂 This image of a Yorkie at the Mid-Susquehanna Valley Dog Show reminded me of the Lhasa’s pearly white teeth and how much those little puppies love to chew! Speaking of Yorkies, I met an adorable one today, named Duke. I will be photographing his mom’s wedding in a few weeks and I’m sure that Duke and his feline brother will somehow be included in the photos.
I love your work. It just brightened up my whole day to look at all the wonderful pics of these furry friends to so many people. Dogs are God’s special gift to us humans…they keep us sane in a crazy world.
P.S. I love to photo my dogs too. I should take your class…
Thanks so much Jan! You should definitely take my class – we’ll have a blast!
