Month: September 2010

I’m taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to get out for a walk as often as I can.   I usually take my camera in the hopes of grabbing a shot or two along the way.  This evening the beach was unusually empty – odd for a holiday weekend.  These 3 girls were busy at the shoreline playing in the sand.  The ripples from the boats on the lake made a nice pattern on the water and the sun was touching the grass to add a golden glow.  I could picture an artist sitting on the beach painting this scene, so I decided to process the image with a watercolor effect.

Bernese Mountain Dogs always look so HAPPY!  They are very lovable and cuddly….and they always greet you with a smile and a big wagging tail!
I love their big big paws!

I ran into my friend Jen on Saturday at the Mid-Susquehanna Valley Kennel Club Dog Show.  She was there showing her Boxer, Viper, and waiting for their photo to be taken with the judge.   Viper is aptly named because he has two white markings that resemble a snake bite!  While we were chatting, I snapped a few images of this champion dog!  I love his curled ear, but Jen tells me that it’s not desirable for the show ring.  More photos are below.  Isn’t he a handsome boy?

Viper’s curled ear

“I was eating grass….can you tell?”

“This is my serious look!”

I love the way he tilts his head to the side……that’s the way to strike a pose!

“Yep…I can pick up satellite radio with THESE ears!”

Can you believe the cuteness of this dog?  I’m in LOVE with those fluffy ears!
