Landscaper for a Day

Today my co-workers and I planted 65 Sugar Maple trees at a local ballpark/walking trail to commemorate our company’s 65th anniversary.  It was a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun at the same time.  We dug, we bailed water, we moved dirt, we put shields around the trees to protect them, we inserted stakes, and tied them with twine so that our little trees will one day grow tall and provide shade at the field.  What a satisfying feeling to know that we did this ourselves and the kids who play ball there and all of the people who use the walking trail will enjoy the benefits!  The Little League was practicing on the field this afternoon so we gathered the kids to help plant a few trees.   One of the kids was dropped off by his mom and riding in the back seat of the car was this beautiful Golden Retriever.  You know I just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to photograph a cute dog!  🙂
