Glen’s Farm

It was fairly early on Saturday morning and we were making our way along a country road in Lancaster County, Pa. Off to our left we caught a glimpse of this scene and the immediate reaction was, “Holy cow…look at that reflection!” We quickly found a place to park and made our way over to the side of the road where we could hop over the guardrail and set up our tripods. Not a breeze was blowing and the reflected buildings and trees were crystal clear in the water. We were lucky enough to meet the owner of the farm who graciously allowed us to come onto the property and photograph a little more. One point of interest was a clothesline filled with colorful print dresses hanging on the porch of the house. As it turned out there were 8 children in this family – all of them girls. I met several of them and we chatted about their pets [naturally!]. They have a cute Pomeranian named Panda and an orange tabby named Sunny. I photographed Panda, but my memory card was full and my others were back in the car, so Sunny didn’t get to be a model. She would have been a great one! Hopefully we will be able to go back here again….maybe after a snowfall. That would be a beautiful spot for winter photography! To see more images from our trek through Lancaster County, go to:
