Who says cats and mice don’t get along?  Tara loves to nap with her favorite mousey toy!  Now if this were a REAL mouse, it might be a WHOLE different story!  Actually, one time I had a mouse in my house and while I stood up on a chair with a broom in my hand screaming, Sebastian ran past me with the mouse in his mouth!  I was horrified!  I convinced him to put it down, and he did.  I went to get a box to scoop the dead mouse into and just as I went to push it into the box with a piece of cardboard, the mouse took off….it was just PRETENDING to be dead.  So much for my cats being mousers!  They just wanted to play with the darn thing!  I’d much rather they play with white fuzzy mice wearing plaid ribbons around their neck!  🙂

When I started my pet photography business, Bo was my first “official” subject.  He was adorable then….and is even more adorable now!  [See his first photo shoot on the website here:  http://www.betsydallasphoto.com/Bo.html ]  Last weekend, my pet photography class was photographing at Lehigh Parkway and I heard a familiar voice…that of my friend Frank Smith, Bo’s “dad”.  He didn’t know I was going to be at the park and I didn’t know that he would be there either.  What a fun suprise!  Even better…he and Karen had Bo along so we absolutely had to photograph him!  We decided that Bo would look ‘stunning’ in a pumpkin headband….orange is definitely his color!  I think he actually enjoyed wearing it! Look at that smile on his face as Karen puts the headband on him!   Cute as can be, right?  Below is another image of this very handsome Golden Retriever.  By the way, Frank Smith is a fantastic photographer, so check out his website here:  http://www.franksmithphotos.com/  Thanks to Frank and Karen for letting us photograph “Pumpkin Bo”!
