PUMPKIN
Three cats with three different personalities! When I first arrived for the photo session, Pumpkin was sprawled in the front window, as promised, catching some rays! I snapped a few photos and though cute as a button, Pumpkin is on the shy side and spent most of the morning watching from under the kitchen table.
TOBY
Toby is very timid and wanted no part of being a super model. Toby snuck out for a split second and I was able to catch just this one photo.
NUGGERS
Nuggers on the other hand wanted to be part of the action. Nuggers was everywhere that we were, watching the proceedings closely from a comfy spot on a nearby table. Nuggers will sit and pose for hours on end, providing endless photo opportunities. While a photo of all 3 of them together would probably never happen, it was fun to try and capture their distinct personalities. Hopefully I was able to accomplish that! Such beautiful cats!

I had a fun photo session with Springer Spaniel, Ace, and his feline friends on Saturday. Ace is a super-friendly dog who loves his bones, stuffed flea, and being wherever mom is. He was such a good sport while we dressed him in a holiday bandana, his Santa shirt, and had him posed and looking at baby Jesus in the manger. I loved how he would back into me and sit on my feet while I would scratch his back. Ace has very soulful eyes and there is one image where he is sitting outside with Dad, but all the while looking at mom as if to say, “Can we go inside and play now? Pleeezzz???” Being a super model is tough work, but I’m sure Ace received lots of hugs and treats after our session! [I just had to look up the word ‘manger’ in the dictionary because I was convinced that it was spelled wrong, which it was not. Do you ever see a word and just think that it doesn’t look right even though it’s a word you see or write all of the time? Getting old is not fun!]

“Cotton” and “Candy”….now there are 2 words that don’t go together! If something is cotton, should you really be thinking about eating it? And so it is for me and cotton candy….I’ve never really acquired a taste for it. I can see where the name came from as it does look like a giant cotton ball in a bag or on a stick. But the taste and texture just don’t appeal to me. Not so for this darling little girl that I photographed at the Valley Forge Kennel Club Dog Show. She was riding high on her dad’s shoulders and was munching away on a bag of pink cotton candy while she watched all of the adorable dogs. This image was processed using two Topaz Adjust presets – sketch color and simplify – plus various tweaks in between.
