The animal shelters are overflowing with wonderful dogs and cats who want nothing more than a nice home and family to love them.  Please please…if you are thinking of adding a pet to your family, visit your local animal shelter instead of buying a pet at a pet store or from a breeder!!

Have dog will travel!  This pooch is riding first class in a nifty pet carrier.  No wire crate for this little one…..she has a comfy spot with a good view of the world around her!  I think my cats would enjoy a carrier like this!

Here’s the 2nd barn in my series from last weekend.  I’ve seen this barn a few times from the highway but just never stopped to photograph it before.  The property is for sale if anyone is interested.  I’d say a new roof is in order!

Did you see Alice today representing the Tibetan Spaniels in the Non-Sporting Group at the AKC Eukanuba Dog Show?  She’s a beautiful dog, the #1 Tibetan Spaniel in the country in 2010,  and I had a chance to photograph her a few times at shows last year.  In this image she’s being held by handler Ernesto Lara at the Bucks County Kennel Club Show in May.  To learn more about Alice, visit her webpage:  http://www.wassongtibbies.com/alice.html   Congratulations to Australian Shepherd, Reckon, on winning Best in Show at Eukanuba!

Don’t you just love the look on this dog’s face as he gets a big smooch from his owner?  He looks so content and happy knowing that he’s loved!  This is a Clumber Spaniel – another of my favorite breeds.  I first learned about Clumbers while watching Westminster years ago.  They are larger than many of the other spaniels – weighing from 55-85 lbs. – and have a slow rolling gait.   They almost have a sad look about them which just melts my heart.  Below is another image of this beautiful Spaniel.  Both images are from the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in September 2010.
