Who says cats can’t wear bows in their hair?  Tara didn’t seem to mind at all!

I had a whole list of errands to do today and my travels took me to an area that has 3 of my favorite barns to photograph…plus I found a new one!  We were expecting snow showers beginning this afternoon but I didn’t see a flake even though the skies looked threatening.  In this scene, I like that the remnants of the crops are poking up through the snow in the foreground to add interest.   Every building on this property is painted red.  Not only the barns, but the house and shed as well!   Since Mother Nature didn’t provide any falling snow, I added some to the image below.  🙂

Here’s a cute French bulldog giving me that coy over the shoulder pose!  It’s as if he’s saying, “Je suis beau”…”I Am Beautiful”!   Of COURSE he speaks and woofs in French…he’s a French bulldog….gheezz!  🙂

I love it when they honor the Veterans at a dog show.  Not Veterans as in those who have served their country, but Veteran show dogs!   These dogs may be a bit older, but they haven’t lost their spunk and they still show beautifully in the ring!  This Welsh Springer Spaniel won the best Veteran at the American Spaniel Club Flushing Spaniel Dog Show over the weekend.  He/she is really focused on that treat!  Doesn’t he/she have the sweetest face?

The American Spaniel Club Flushing Spaniel Show was held at the Valley Forge Convention Center.  Attached to the conference center is a tall hotel that is round.  I’ve always thought it was a very interesting building and you can spot it from the expressway as you drive around the area.  I really wanted to take some time to photograph the building over the weekend, but it was just too darn cold.  The wind was blowing like crazy as I left the dog show at around 4:00 PM.  It would have been fun to photograph with the warm colors of the afternoon sky reflecting in the windows.  I only managed to take a couple of shots before hurrying to the car and turning the heater on high!  I wonder if all of the Spaniels were staying in the hotel?  I can picture them all running through the circular hallways!  How fun!
