Month: February 2011

This is the 3rd in my series of winter barn images taken about a month ago.  How can you resist a red barn and white snow?   I never seem to be here with my camera when the horses are out….hopefully someday!

According to AKC rules, junior handlers may be between the ages of 9 and 18 years of age.  This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn good sportsmanship, develop dog handling skills, and gain an understanding of dogs and dog shows.  This image is from the junior showmanship competition at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show.  This little girl was darling, dressed so cute, and really handled her dog well.  It was easy to see that they were best friends!

I always always ALWAYS come home from a photo shoot saying to myself….”You should have taken a photo of………” [and fill in the blank!].  This time it was a scene from Sunday’s dog show of this whole row of grooming tables lined up with Yorkshire Terriers and mixed in between was this one adorable Maltese.  I tend to like the close up images – you know….eliminate all of the distractions in the background….and so I guess that’s why I didn’t get a photo of the whole group together.  I will hold the image of that in my mind, however, and remember how adorable they all were – each of the Yorkies with a red bow in it’s hair and this Maltese with a black one.  So cute!
