Small Dog, Big Attitude
Posted on March 25, 2011 in Animals, Pet Photography
The Yorkshire Terrier is a small dog with a giant attitude! They really do think that they are Great Danes! But since they are small, they can be litter box trained. Talk about the ideal dog! I read, however, that they usually don’t bury their business once they go in the box which was considered one of the “cons” of litter box training. Seriously….burying or not burying does not affect the ‘scent’ of the box. Trust me….neither of my cats bury their business – the ‘fragrance’ is the same either way. They must have missed the class on litter box etiquette! 🙂
I am assuming that a red bow indicates a female. She is a really cute dog and great portrait! I can even sense her attitude from your picture.
Actually, Mike, a red bow is gender neutral. So, this could be a boy or a girl Yorkie. 🙂 Almost all of the Yorkies wear red bows when they are shown in the ring. I’ve read that the color red, besides being gender neutral, shows off their coloring well and that’s why they wear this color.
I couldn’t agree more about the attitude. We had a Yorkie until about 1 1/2 years ago.
