He may be small, but he’s a force to be reckoned with these days! This is Banana Joe, otherwise known as GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari. He’s a 4 year old Affenpinscher and currently is the AKC’s #4 dog in the country. This breed is said to have the face of a monkey. Watching Joe strut around the ring, I really believe that he thinks he’s a St. Bernard-size dog! He knows how to strut his stuff!

Well, my guess is that’s “it’s a girl” based on the color of her collar! Do you know this breed? It’s a Flat-Coated Retriever! Isn’t this the sweetest puppy face ever? This breed is a member of the sporting group, is a hunting dog, and makes a great family pet. It is said that their tail never stops wagging! They require lots of exercise but are easy to maintain, and have a cheerful disposition!

Talk about color coordinated!! A black and white Papillon, riding in a black and white stylin’ bag, carried by a woman wearing black and white! I love it! This little dog was so cozy in the polka dot carrier that even when she put the carrier down onto a table the dog stayed inside and didn’t budge. Cute as a button! [P.S. I added this to my “black and white” blog category just for fun! :-)]

This was the scene atop a trophy at a recent dog show that I attended. To me it symbolizes the sadness and loss that our pets experience when we’re gone – whether it be when we go to work for the day or when a pet owner passes on and the dog or cat is left behind. Pets need companionship and I often see pets that are brought to the shelter after their owner passes away. They often become depressed and lose interest in everything. It breaks my heart. I want to go and adopt all of them so that I can give them back the happiness that they have lost. Next time you are looking for a dog or cat, visit your local animal shelter and consider adopting a pet in need!
