Month: December 2011

I love this duo!  Mom was wearing a lime green jacket and her long-haired Chihuahua sported a lime sheepskin coat to match!  So dog-gone CUTE!   I think this little guy is snoozing and having a funny dream that is making him giggle!

This 2 year old Komondor was beautiful in the ring!  What do you think his/her handler is saying in this image?  I think she’s telling the dog how proud she is and how much she loves him/her.  The Komondor is a member of the Working Group and was bred to guard herds of sheep and cattle.  Their corded coat serves to cover vulnerable body parts in case of attack, helps them blend in with their flock and protects them from weather extremes.

Congratulations to Team Malachy [GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy] on winning Best in Show in Allentown yesterday!  That marks the 49th BIS this year for Pekingese Malachy and handler David Fitzpatrick!  Malachy finishes the year as the #2 dog all breeds!   Watching David & Malachy in the ring always makes me smile — hope to see you both again soon!  Congrats on a fabulous year!

Congratulations to Whippet “Chanel” (MBIS MBISS GCH Starline’s Chanel) and handler Lori Wilson on a nice win yesterday at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in Allentown, Pa. marking their 68th Best in Show!  Chanel is the #1 Hound in the country and the #1 Whippet in AKC history!  She is a beautiful dog – so elegant, graceful and playful!  How nice to see her once again as she will be retiring soon to become a mommy!  Below is an image of Lori and Chanel in the ring during Group judging.

Girl meets Collie and it was love at first sight!
