Gosh I have so many more images that I want to post before Westminster, but I’m running out of days!  Today’s post features another top dog from the Herding Group, Roy – “Gold Gr. Ch. Ch. Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins ROM”.  Roy is the top winning Bearded Collie in history and he is handled beautifully by Cliff Steele.  Have you ever seen a more gorgeous coat?  Roy is elegance in motion when he trots around the ring with Cliff.  This image is from the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in Allentown, Pa. in December.  Watch Roy as he gracefully makes his way across the green carpet at Westminster next week!

Lights, camera, ACTION!  The Westminster action is set to begin on Monday, 2/13 and this guy will be heading to NYC to herd everyone into Madison Square Garden to cheer him on!  This Border Collie’s name is “Action” [GCH CH Bon-Clyde’s Take One] and he will be showing off his moves in hopes of winning over the judge for the top spot in the dog show world!  Watch for Action and his handler Greg Strong in the Herding Group…a winning combination!

Just look at this sweet little face!  This is Affenpinscher, Joey, “GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari”, with handler Ernesto Lara at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show last Fall.   Joey is one of the Top 10 dogs in the country right now and another fierce conpetitor in next week’s Toy Group at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in NYC.  I can’t even begin to count how many shows I attended last year where Joey was in the Group competition and quite frequently won Best in Show.  This little pooch has a ton of personality and “showdogship”!  🙂

Say hello to Chase, “Ch. Windsor Bihar Chasing Rainbows”, a beautiful Lowchen.  He’ll be heading to Westminster next week with his best buddy and handler, Greg Strong – pictured here at the Lebanon County Kennel Club show in Harrisburg, Pa. last year.  Are you familiar with this breed?  They are members of the Non-Sporting Group and their name means “Little Lion”.  They sport the traditional lion cut where the coat is untrimmed in the front and clipped close on the hindquarters.  The breed has existed for nearly 400 years and they were popular as footwarmers and comforters in pre-Renaissance Europe.   Today they are loving companion dogs with outgoing personalities.  Watch for Chase to win the hearts of the crowd at Madison Square Garden next week!

Brittany, “Junior” [MBISS GCH. CH. Carrollton’s Count Lancelot], and handler Jessy Sutton are headed to Madison Square Garden for the 136th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show next week.  They’ll be in the ring at 2:00 PM Tuesday, 2/14, in case anyone is headed to the Garden and wants to cheer them on along with Junior’s owners Lynda, Jodie and Gloria as well as his other admiring fans!  I’ve seen Jessy and Junior at a number of shows over the last year and they are a perfect team!  Can’t wait to see them shine in front of the TV cameras!
