Feeling Hot Hot Hot!
Posted on June 20, 2012 in Animals, Pet Photography
It’s the first day of summer and time for a reminder to keep your pets cool during the hot weather. Today the temperature was in the mid-90’s in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the humidity is about a zillion percent, making it feel even hotter! Pets can develop heat stroke quite quickly [and it can be fatal!], so be sure to keep them indoors, in the A/C if possible, restrict exercise to cooler times of the day [early morning or evening], provide ample amounts of fresh clean water, and never leave your pet in a hot car – not even for a minute! You can also purchase a cooling mat for your pet to lay on that you fill with water and it stays cool or a cooling neck wrap. The dog in the blog image is wearing a wrap that was dipped in cool water, rung out, and placed around his head to keep him cool. Whatever your method, please keep your pets safe this summer!
This is absolutely precious!
