Ready for my close up!

It was very humid last Saturday when I attended the Mid-Susquehanna Valley Kennel Club show in Middleburg, Pa. I probably minded the heat more that day than at any other show I’ve ever attended. It was easy to see that the dogs were minding the weather as well. I had a hard time finding dogs to photograph that did NOT have their tongues out. Since dogs don’t have sweat glands, they use their tongues as a cooling device to pant and help cool themselves. Here’s a very cute English Springer Spaniel that happened to wander in front of my lens for a close up!
Well gee, we were there. Not very long though; went up to have a puppy evaluated but caught the last bit of the Standard Poodle judging.
I probably walked right past you at some point as I was watching the poodle judging that day too!
