My guess is just looking at the pictures!

Here are two adorable English Toy Spaniels that I met at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club Show in Harrisburg, Pa. last weekend.  That’s Griffin [Luvn Chr-Lys Novel Grand Finale] on the top and Lily [Luvn Chr-Lys Beautiful Blooming Lily] on the bottom.  At first I only noticed Griffin and spent a minute photographing him before I even noticed Lily … how bad is that.  I might need new contacts!  [Might???]

One of the best things about going to dog shows – other than seeing some of the most beautiful dogs in the country, of course – is having a chance to make new friends and visit with old ones!  On Saturday I had a chance to spend a little time with my pal, Malachy [Gr Ch Palacegarden Malachy] and his owner David Fitzpatrick at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club show in Harrisburg, Pa.  I think Malachy remembered me from when I visited him at his home earlier this year for a photo shoot!  His little tail was wagging like crazy and he seemed excited for all of the attention that I was giving him!  For those readers who aren’t dog show aficionados, Malachy won Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club show in February.  He is precious!

It’s been a little while since Sebastian has been featured on the blog.  He’ll be 17 years old in October and if you ask me, he doesn’t look a day over 2!  He’s struggling with mobility issues and isn’t able to climb up onto this ottoman, which used to be one of his favorite places for bird watching through the French doors.  I carry him over and lay him down, all the while staying with him so he doesn’t fall or try to jump off.  He still loves to watch the bunnies and birds from this safe spot indoors.  It’s hard to believe that this is the cat who used to jump from the kitchen floor to the kitchen counter in one leap — clearly 3, 4 or more times his height.  Now his weakened back legs won’t even allow him to jump onto the couch…he uses pet steps.  Oh how I wish our pets could remain healthy, happy and live forever!
