Sweet little Savannah was perched by the window this morning….just counting the hours until her big brother, Brewster, came home!

Say hello to Pawnia, “Pieutka’s JJ’s Pawnia of Amity Hall”, one of the sweetest dogs I know!  I had the pleasure of spending some time with Pawnia, her brother, Viper, and her mom, Nhaya, a couple months ago and all three are a pure joy to be around!  Pawnia is just getting her paws wet in the ring, so if you see her at a show, cheer her on!

Meet Savannah – the new addition to my family!  Savannah is a 1-1/2 year old Seal Point Siamese who was abandoned by her previous owners in West Virginia when they moved and left her outside to fend for herself.  Thankfully she was found and brought to a shelter and eventually to the Siamese Cat Rescue Center in Virginia.  She spent over a month in foster care where she was pampered and loved.  I learned about the Siamese Cat Rescue Center when I attended a cat show in Easton, Pa. in December.  I know that it was not luck, but that I was meant to find them!  What a wonderful organization and group of dedicated and caring individuals!  Savannah is the sweetest and most affectionate cat!  I am so lucky to be able to give her the forever home she deserves!  She will soon have a brother to keep her company – more details to follow!

It really is true that when you go back to your image files after time has passed, you often find treasures that you may have overlooked.  I just fell in love with this image and named it The Schnoz after Jimmy Durante, who was nicknamed that because of his extra large nose!  This image of a Scottish Deerhound was taken at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club Show in Harrisburg, Pa. last August.  Believe it or not, this breed is a sight hound and not a scent hound!

If I were in a spelling bee, and given the word Dachshund to spell, I would be eliminated immediately.  For some reason, I can spell Xoloitzcuintli easily, but Dachshund throws me every time!  Go figure!
