Oooh, I love this image!  This is Apollo, “GCH. Jennycreek’s Lord Bacchus”, a gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog that I had the pleasure of photographing at the Harrisburg Kennel Club show earlier this month.  Apollo won Best of Breed and has such an expressive face – I love photographing him!

I was seated across the ring from this dog and owner at the Harrisburg show and noticed right away the colors and patterns in the scene.  The first thing that caught my eye was that the owner’s clothing matched the dog – tan and white.  Nice!  Then I noticed the geometric pattern of her blouse, the pattern of the fence, and the spots on the dog’s face.  All different shapes, but combined they made an interesting photograph.  I actually walked away without taking a photo and then had to come back because I knew that later I would regret it if I didn’t capture this moment.  Oh, not to mention that this is one adorable dog, don’t you think??

Reign, (GCH. Northwind’s First Reign) is the number one Irish Setter in the country.  Reign was the breed winner and Group 3 winner at the Harrisburg Kennel Club show a couple of weekends ago.  Pure elegance!  Love this dog!

It’s bath time for this Clumber Spaniel at the Mason-Dixon Kennel Club show in Harrisburg, Pa.  The Clumber is one of my all-time favorite breeds to watch in the ring!

I had a chance to spend some time today with two of my most favorite dogs in the world – Ozzy and Dano!  Here’s Ozzy!  He’s a 2 year old cock-a-poo and one adorable pup!  Look at those curls!  Despite the fact that it was only about 50 degrees outside, he ran into the lake to get his paws wet in a split second!  It’s a good thing that he has a groomer appointment in the near future.  All of those pretty curls will be history when he goes for his “summer cut”!
