The Dalmatian is the only spotted breed … and when they are born, they have no spots at all – they are all white!  Spots begin to appear after about 3 weeks and can be black or brown (liver colored).  I know I’m crazy, but I love to look at the coat of this breed for recognizable shapes or patterns in the spots … almost like when you stare at the clouds in the sky and see faces or animals or other shapes!  What do you see when you look at this dog’s coat?
