Savannah 2nd Birthday_June 2013

When sweet Savannah came to the Siamese Cat Rescue Center in Virginia in December, she was estimated at being 1-1/2 years old.  No one really knows for sure because her previous owners abandoned her when they moved.  BUT, given the approximation, that means that she turns 2 years old this month!   Happy Birthday Savannah!  She and Brewster are celebrating and looking very fashionable in their bandanas from Cindy Lou Handmade Scarves who I met at “Paw Prints on the Canal” over the weekend.  Cindy has a super nice variety of cool patterns and the scarves are reversible so you get two designs for the price of one.  They come in different sizes to fit dogs and cats.  (Brewster and Savannah wear size small)  Here’s Cindy’s website in case you want to have a look:  CindyLouDogScarves.etsy.com  Savannah is happily accepting birthday wishes from her fans all month long!  🙂

Pippa's Ad_small

I met Pippa, “HeartSpot’s See What You Can Do Pippa”, just about a year ago at a show in Ludwig’s Corner, Pa.  It seems like just yesterday that I was watching her fly around the ring for the first time.  Now I love photographing her whenever I see her at a show!  She’s a sweetheart!  The ad above is currently appearing in the June/July issue of the online publication  EDalmatians [http://www.edalmatians.com/] and features one of my portraits of Pippa from a show earlier this year in York, Pa.   I am so flattered when someone asks to use one of my photographs in their ad – thank you Cathy!

What better way to keep cool on a hot summer day than to lay in a pool filled with ice cubes?!!  That was the method used by this Chocolate Labrador Retriever at Paw Prints on the Canal in Northampton, Pa. over the weekend.  It was so hot that jumping into a pool filled with ice sounded like a GREAT idea to me, too!

Hats are not just for looking fashionable…they also protect your eyes, hair and skin from the harmful rays of the sun!  Or if you’re a ferret, they protect your eyes, FUR, and skin!  How cute is this little guy sporting a blue baseball cap?   I met him at “Paw Prints on the Canal” – an event to benefit the Northampton, Pa. police department’s K-9 force.  I even had a chance to hold him – he’s very soft and cuddly!  He was helping his owners select a few new toys at one of the many vendor booths at the event.
