I really enjoyed watching these pilots in their restored planes take to the sky during the World War II event in Reading, Pa. this past weekend.  It was amazing to see them fly in formation and doing aerial acrobatics that scared the beejeebees out of me!  I remember speaking with one Veteran from WWII about the planes we were watching and asking what protection they have from falling out as the planes dipped and flew upside down.  Apparently it’s nothing more than a seat belt!  Yipes!!!

I had a grand time photographing at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s World War II weekend yesterday.  So many great photo ops and a time to learn more about the brave men and women who served our country during World War II.  I am so proud of my dad who was a Marine in the South Pacific during the war.   This image is from the reenactment battle between the French Resistance, Allied and German troops in the French Village where  women and children watched from windows and doorways while the soldiers fought outside.

The best dressed pet at “Paw Prints on the Canal” today in Northampton, Pa. was “Sweetness”!  In addition to being the cutest thing with 4 paws, Sweetness was available for adoption!  I hope and pray that she went to her forever home today!  She was verrrry popular!  Who could resist this flowery ballerina?
