One of my favorite breeds – the Leonberger!  They’ve been around since the 1800’s, but were just recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2010.  This breed originated in Germany as a farm and draft dog.  Today they are described as having lion-like looks, but are gentle, friendly, love children and make ideal therapy dogs!  This image was taken last year at the Chester Valley Kennel Club Show.  Don’t you just want to bury your face in that thick plush fur?  I do!
