Gabriel was just a little kitten living in Virginia last year at this time. I don’t know his exact circumstances, but I’m sure life was difficult for him and his brothers and sisters. They were given up for adoption in November and Gabriel found his way to Siamese Cat Rescue Center and eventually to his forever home with us. Now he loves to sit by the window and watch the falling leaves. As soon as dawn breaks, he runs to the window and his little head moves from side to side as he watches leaves float from the big oak trees in the yard. He paws at the glass in an attempt to catch them. I wonder if he chased leaves when he was living outside on those cold late Fall days last year in Virginia? Now he is content to watch from his safe spot indoors on the window sill or on one of our cat perches. His brother and sister often join him. Above is one of his favorite spots in the big dining room window. Below is a photo of him sitting by the French doors and showing off his beautiful blue eyes. No, there was no Photoshop involved in enhancing the color. His eyes are really that blue!

So the plan this year was to dress the Meezers (Sia-meezers) in a caterpillar costume to match one of their favorite toys. How cute would that be, I thought?! They will love it, I thought! The photos will be adorable, I thought! Somehow they weren’t feeling the love for the caterpillar costume as much as I was! Just look at the stink eye and attitude I’m getting from Gabriel on the left! This is his very first Halloween and so the whole costume thing was a new adventure for him. He obviously isn’t a fan! Brewster and Savannah wouldn’t even look at me! Oh well….they still look pretty darn cute and we gave it the old college try anyhow! Wishing everyone a happy Halloween!

I was sitting on a bench outside of a restaurant when this little guy wandered over and sat down beside me. What a handsome little guy he is and so very friendly, too!

We can never have too many photos of our beloved pets!! That’s Savannah on the left hanging out with Mr. Koala on the bed. Brewster is in the middle – getting lots of kisses for being a good boy at the doctor on Friday. Gabriel is on the right…showing off his brilliant blue eyes.

I had an unexpected adventure today. Mom came home from work a little bit early and, after giving me kisses, put me into the big carrier and in the car we went. I don’t like the carrier or the car. They make me think of the time I was moved from where I was living in the park, to the rescue center, and then back and forth to the doctor a bunch of times, and then that really long car ride when I came to my forever home. It was a scary time, but life is great now that I have a real home and know that I am loved. Mom took me to the doctor today because I needed to have my anal sacs expressed…whatever that means. I cried all the way to the doctor and then in the waiting room, too, because I was scared. The Vet Techs were nice and I was a very brave kitty, even though I didn’t like being there. It only took a few minutes and then we were back in the car and home in no time. Whew…..and I thought I was just going to have a nice lazy day of snoozing and watching the birdies from my favorite spot on the windowsill.
