“Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one is a life diminished.”
I need to change this quote so that it reads….
“Once you have had a wonderful dog or cat, a life without one is a life diminished.”
There…that’s much better!

I can’t help but think about all of the dogs and cats (and other animals, too!) that don’t have a home, food, shelter and someone to love and care for them! It breaks my heart to think of them being outside in the cold and searching for food on their own. Reach out and help your local animal shelters and rescues whenever possible so that they may continue their dedicated work in finding forever homes for the animals in their care. Whenever I look at my two little cats, I think of them being outside in the cold of December searching for anything they could find to eat and a place to stay warm. Thankfully, there were wonderful people who came to their rescue and helped their stories have a happy ending!

I remember it like it was yesterday. Sitting ringside at the show, with my 70-200mm lens, taking close ups while the dogs were being examined by the judge. All of them poised and putting their best paw forward! It’s so much fun to have a connection to the dog show community and have the opportunity to see and photograph so many wonderful canines!

I love dogs that have freckles on their nose! This dog was watching his/her friends in the ring at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show last month. What an adorably expressive face, don’t you think?

Waiting on the sidelines to go into the ring for the Hound Group judging at a show last Fall is the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen….the PBGV. One of my most favorite breeds, this is an active, happy and extroverted rabbit hunter. I love their scruffy look and happy-go-lucky personality!
