Most dogs love to be brushed. It’s a time when you and your pooch can spend some quality time together. Not only is brushing an essential part of keeping your dog’s coat healthy and clean, it also is very soothing and relaxing for the dog. This Glen of Imaal Terrier is just waiting for someone to pick up that brush and spend some time with him. Our pets love us unconditionally and just want to be with us. Make time every day to play with and groom your pet!

There are breeds that I seem to gravitate toward when I’m at a dog show and I photograph them frequently. Not so with the Sussex Spaniel. Oh it’s not because I’m not a fan of the breed. Quite the opposite….they are one of my absolute favorites. I just don’t see all that many of them at shows. When I do, however, I make a point of getting to their ring at the appropriate time to watch them and snap a few photos. I believe there was only one Sussex at the Devon Kennel Club show and I managed this image that I feel conveys the complete trust that this dog has in his/her handler. What a sweet expression!

Oh, it’s all serious business in this image as the Weimaraner and handler are in the ring setting up for the judge. But just prior to this there was some serious snacking going on….just take a look below. Often at dog shows the kennel club will put out snacks while the group judging is taking place. In this instance, a man was sitting ringside munching on some potato chips when the dog caught a wiff of them! He wouldn’t leave until he had a few! 🙂
