As those of us on the East coast endure the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would share an image to hopefully bring a smile to your face.  I’ve been trying really hard not to stress about the storm, but that is just about impossible.  Looking at images of happier days always makes me feel better, though.  Here’s a shot from the Bow Wow Pool Party that I photographed back in the summer.  It’s a different kind of water – water that brings happy times, not destruction.  The dogs at the pool party were having a grand old time playing, swimming, and even hitching a ride around the pool in mom’s arms!  Sending positive thoughts to all of us in Sandy’s path….be safe!

It’s a safe bet that there is a national or international holiday for just about everything you can think of!  As a test, I just looked up “National Watermelon Day” on the web and yep, there is a day set aside to celebrate the wonders of the watermelon – it’s August 3rd.  Well, there is also an “International Kissing Day” celebrated on July 6th, which brings me to this photo from the Westchester Kennel Club Show in September.  You never need to denote a special day for sharing kisses with your pet…..EVERY DAY is International Kissing Day when it comes to dogs and cats!  Give your pet lots of kisses today…and every day!

Pucker up….I feel a kiss coming on!

One of my favorite breeds is the Bearded Collie.  I just love watching them glide across the ring – with their gorgeous coat flowing around them!  I couldn’t decide which image of this Beardie I liked better, so I just combined them!  These images are from the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club Show in Macungie, Pa. last month.

I was going through my images from last year’s National Dog Show Presented by Purina and came across so many that I like!  I just wish I had more time to edit and post them all!  Here’s one of Ernesto Lara and Affenpinscher Joey [GCH CH Banana Joe v Tani Kazari].  This little pup commands the ring day in and day out and is one of the top 10 dogs in the country right now!
