I’ve enjoyed watching Australian Cattle Dog Hedi, “Ch Jems Cool Blue Diva”, since back in April when she was new to showing and just getting her paws wet in the ring.  It’s been amazing to watch her grow and become a super show dog!  Here she is with one of her favorite people, handler Courtney Norris at the Westchester Kennel Club show on Sunday.  They adore one another!

There was a lot of love at yesterday’s Westchester Kennel Club dog show in Bridgewater, NJ.  Here is handler Daniel Buchwald with GCH Marjetta in the Limelight JH who is currently the #1 Pointer in the country.  Yesterday this duo took a Group 2 at Westchester!  Congrats!

Oh how music brings back memories!  Last night I saw Barry Manilow in concert at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa.   What an awesome show!  Barry is one of my long-time favorites and was a favorite of my mom as well.  I remember when she was very sick and she had to do exercises to tone her muscles.  The only way I could encourage her to exercise was by playing my Barry Manilow records.  She loved him!  Her favorite song was “Can’t Smile Without You” and I can still picture her singing along to that song.  You can imagine the memories that came rushing back as I sat in the arena watching Barry perform.  Life’s moments relived!  Barry’s music put a smile on my mom’s face as she was dealing with her illness and he still makes me smile!  Here are 3 photos from the concert….12th row center!

For many it was their first time swimming.  Or their first time swimming in a long time.  After all, the public pool is only open for the dogs’ pool party once a year!  So a lot of owners were in the water encouraging their pups to get their feet wet and test the water.  Some of the dogs were nervous, while others were jumping off of the diving board into the deep end of the pool without giving it a second thought.  This sweet image shows mom giving her dog some encouraging words so that he wouldn’t be afraid to go in for a dip.  This was a scene repeated many times throughout the day at the Bow Wow Pool Party on Saturday.

How cute is this pair?  A teeny tiny King Charles Cavalier Spaniel puppy goes nose to nose with her new friend.  The puppy didn’t venture into the water – she and her mom just watched from pool side.  Next year she’ll be big enough to dip her paws into the water and join the pool party!
