The future of dog showing lies with the Junior Handlers.  Junior handlers may be between the ages of 9 and 18 years of age.  I watched part of the Junior Showmanship class at the Delaware County Kennel Club in York, Pa. last month and it was great to see so many young people truly interested in dog showing!  They are so professional – even at such young ages – and were having a great time with their dogs! 

This is the kind of Apple I want every day to keep the doctor away!  Bernese Mountain Dog, Apple, [GCH Tallpine’s Appletini RN], caught my eye at the Delaware County Kennel Club Show in York, Pa. on Saturday, won her breed, and placed 2nd in the Working Group.  She’s a pretty girl!

I had a lovely visit over the weekend with David Fitzpatrick and Malachy, the Pekingese that won Best in Show at Westminster last month!  What an honor to have the opportunity to photograph Malachy and David!  Malachy is the perfect model  –  such a sweet and elegant dog!  Here’s a photo of us, along with some of his awards in the background.
