Wills, “GCH Celestial CJ’s All’s Well That Ends Well”, is one of my favorite dogs to watch and photograph.  He is so happy and playful – typical traits for his breed – the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (a member of the Hound Group).  In this image it looks like handler Greg Strong has found Wills’ “funny bone” while brushing him at the Bucks County Kennel Club show in Erwinna, Pa. in May.

If you saw my blog/Facebook post yesterday, it featured a fluffy white tail and the hand of the dog’s owner.  That tail belongs to 13″ Beagle, “Brian” – “Ch. Kinsglo Road to Rhode Island”.  Isn’t he the cutest?  I just love when pets have “human” names, too!  You are a handsome fellow Mr. Brian!

I must admit that I wasn’t sure what breed I was looking at when I saw this dog at the Lancaster Kennel Club show (Lebanon, Pa.) earlier this month.  It looked like an Ibizan Hound, but I didn’t realize that they came in a wiry coated variety.   Now after visiting the American Kennel Club website I’ve learned that the Ibizan can have a smooth coat or a wiry coat with a mustache.  I love this wiry look and their amber eyes!  The Ibizan Hound is a native of Spain and a talented rabbit hunter.  Watch out wascally wabbits!
