…is the one that you have with you. This photography quote is so very true in this age of technology where it seems that everyone is a photographer – shooting with anything from very expensive professional high-end cameras, to cell phones, to tablets! Here’s a photographer at the Harrisburg Kennel Club show making images of the Cocker Spaniel breed judging last weekend with her tablet! It still looks very awkward to me to see someone pointing a tablet at their subject and taking photos! I can’t get beyond the cameras that don’t have view finders! I MUST have a view finder! I guess I’m just old school. Or maybe just old! 🙂

I’ve posted images on my gallery site from the Hound, Herding, Sporting and Terrier Groups at the Delaware County Kennel Club Show (York, PA) on Saturday. Non-Sporting is also posted. I’ll be finishing up the Toy and Working Groups shortly and then will begin creating private pages for those who are waiting to see photos of their specific dogs. To view the York images, go to:

and then click on the Photo Galleries menu at the top of the page. There is a gallery for the Delaware County Kennel Club show images and then pages for each group. I love this Irish Setter image …. what dog doesn’t love a little scratch under the chin? 🙂

Here’s Gordon Setter “Winnie” (GCH Hollyhunt Take A Chance on Me) with handler Kristyn McCartney at The National Dog Show Presented by Purina. Did you know that Winnie has her very own Facebook page? Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/WinnietheGordon

The National Dog Show Presented by Purina is a benched show which is a wonderful opportunity for spectators to come and meet the dogs, owners and handlers and learn about their favorite breeds! It’s also a great opportunity to get up close and personal for some dog photography! Here a handsome model is sitting pretty for his portrait! Be sure and watch The National Dog Show Presented by Purina on NBC Thanksgiving Day immediately following the Macy’s Parade. I can’t tell you who won Best in Show …. you’ll have to tune in to find out!
