I’m finally getting a chance to sort through some of my dog show images.  This is Boomer (MBISS GCH CH BRYNBAR TAMARACK SONIC BOOM JH), a beautiful Gordon Setter photographed at a show earlier this month.  Hope I have an opportunity to see more of this dog at the outdoor shows this season!

The dogs love getting back to nature at the outdoor shows!  Hey, so do photographers!  No worries about dark buildings, sodium vapor lights that change color, high ISO settings that cause digital noise in the photographs, etc., all of which result in the need for extra editing. There are, however, challenges outdoors as well….sunny days that cast unwanted shadows, inclement weather, and the need to constantly re-evaluate lighting conditions depending on whether you are shooting under a tent or out in the rings.  The pluses of an outdoor show far outweigh the minus’ though!   Hooray for the great outdoors!

…my hair goes crazy curly…sort of like this Irish Water Spaniel.  He or she has much nicer curls than I do, though!

I was so excited to finally meet Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Eden (GCH Cache River Albridens Cutie Patootie), at the Boardwalk Kennel Club show last weekend in Wildwood, NJ. She definitely IS a cutie patootie!  What a perfect name!

Have you ever seen a more innocent face?  I mean EVER?  This Sussex Spaniel could chew my favorite pair of shoes every single day and I would just go out and buy a new pair every time!   I LOVE this breed!!
