When you watch The National Dog Show Presented by Purina today at noon on NBC (all time zones), you’ll see wonderful close-ups of each breed. This is how it’s done! Before each group is judged, a cameraman videos each dog in the lineup so that when you watch today, you’ll see your favorite breeds up close and personal!

The National Dog Show is a GREAT place to visit if you are interested in meeting and learning about breeds! The Expo Center at Oaks, Pa. was packed over the weekend as folks got up close and personal with the dogs, their owners and/or handlers. Cameras were everywhere and the dogs were happy to oblige photo requests whenever possible! This Bedlington Terrier is ready for a close up!

One of my most favorite dogs ever, “GCh Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie” (Charlie), with handler Larry Cornelius at the Montgomery County Kennel Club show last month.

These two look very sweet and innocent, but something tells me that they are secretly plotting a new adventure that involves mischief!

I love this breed – the Australian Terrier. They were introduced in the U.S. in the 1940’s and officially recognized by the AKC in 1960. I always say that I would love to have a dog when I eventually retire. This would be another breed that would be on my top 10 list. Brewster and Savannah would love a Terrier to chase around the house. Or…would it be the other way around?
