Do you ever just feel like you’re being stared at?

So proud to be an American….today and every day.  Remembering 9/11 and all who lost their lives or continue to suffer as a result of that terrible tragedy.

“What does it take for a dog to get a treat around here?  I’m sitting up on my hind legs and looking simply adorable…isn’t that enough???”

I couldn’t take my eyes off this dog and handler in the ring.  The photographer in me saw a beautiful dog whose colors blended beautifully with the surroundings and a handler who was dressed in similar colors as well.  It was a scene that needed to be photographed!  It has a minimalist feel – just 3 or 4 different colors and simple, simple, simple!  Attention handlers…how you present yourself (appearance, clothing choices, movement, etc.) can make or break a photograph!  This team was definitely a winning combination!

Our pets instinctively find ways to keep cool.  But still, as pet parents it’s our responsibility to make sure that they are comfortable when the temperatures are on the rise.  My cats are smart when it comes to finding the coolest spot in the house.  Brewster lays on his back in the middle of the living room floor in front of the A/C and under the ceiling fan in the bedroom at night.  I can almost hear him saying, “Ahhhh……!!!”  Savannah likes to lay on the cool linoleum in the bathroom.  This images features a Bernese Mountain Dog catching a breeze in front of a portable fan at the Huntingdon Valley Kennel Club show last month.  On that particular day the temperature was in the low-mid 90’s with a lot of humidity.  I’m looking forward to a couple of indoor shows this month!
