I was so happy to visit with my little pal Ozzy at the Bow Wow Pool Party over the weekend.  Ozzy is a 5 year old Cockapoo and the most adorable pup ever!  I’ve photographed him a number of times and it’s been fun watching him evolve over the years into an Olympic swimmer!  At his first visit to the pool party he was a little bit afraid of the water and all of the big dogs that were jumping and splashing.  On Saturday, he went right in without a second thought!  I love his curly fur and happy-go-lucky personality!

Ship Ahoy Matey!  Or should I say Raft Ahoy Matey?  Afloat in the deep blue water at JFK Pool in Pottsville, Pa. are two of the cutest pups ever!  They were having a high old good time at today’s Bow Wow Pool Party at JFK pool to benefit Hillside S.P.C.A. Watching the dogs swim, float, chase tennis balls and dive into the water is so much fun and this event is one of my favorites of the year!  More photos to come…..

It’s been a few months since I’ve photographed an outdoor dog show.  I’m looking forward to getting back to the great outdoors in the next few weeks as some of my favorite shows are coming up!  Photographing dogs outdoors vs. indoors is a whole different ballgame.  Each venue has their own unique opportunities and challenges!  Wishing for bright overcast, sunless and cooler days! (This is one of my very favorite images from 2015 featuring the Dandy Dinmont Terrier at the Bucks County Kennel Club show – May 2015)

This is beautiful Sasha.  She’s a rescue from a shelter who is loving life in her forever home.  Every day, Sasha’s dad takes her to the lake.  She walks down the boat ramp and into the water up to her tummy.  Sasha isn’t swimming or chasing a tennis ball.  She just wants to stand in the water and watch the fish swimming around her.  Occasionally she will try to catch one, but for the most part, she just wants to see them.  What a sweet, gentle soul!

In my last post I mentioned that show cats often have a chance to play while on the judges table.  This sweet kitty was all about keeping both eyes on the dragonfly wand toy that the judge was holding.  My cats love toys…especially Brewster.  When he was first brought to the Siamese Cat Rescue Center, he had no clue what to do with a toy that was introduced to him.  Now, he’s a toy-aholic!  Catnip filled toys are his favorite.  We highly recommend fresh organic catnip toys handmade by Linda from The Catnip Cafe in Phoenixville, Pa.  http://www.thecatnipcafe.com/  Brewster and Savannah received two new toys from the show last weekend that are guaranteed not to fly under the refrigerator!  🙂
