How can you not fall in love with a Beagle that is dressed to look like spaghetti and meatballs? What an ingenious costume! The “sauce” was red fabric, the spaghetti was rope, and the meatballs looked like painted Styrofoam. This little pup has been through 5 leg surgeries and looked wonderful! He/she won second place at the Paw Prints on the Canal best dressed dog contest. Okay, so who’s hungry for spaghetti and meatballs now?

When I’m out and about with my camera, I never fail to make a new doggie friend or two. People LOVE talking about their pets and they always agree to let me snap a photo or two. They may think I’m nutty, but nevertheless, I’ve never had anyone tell me that I couldn’t take a picture of their dog. Here’s a handsome little guy that I met while photographing the snow goose migration earlier this year. There are always dogs at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area during the snow goose migration and I am forever amazed at how well behaved they are! Middle Creek is a great place to walk your dog and all of those geese are pure entertainment … especially for the sporting breeds!

One of my favorite breeds – the Gordon Setter. I love the flying ears and happy doggy smile in this image from the Bucks County Kennel Club Show last month.

Brewster’s sassy little sister, Savannah, definitely has catitude! She’s an 8 lb. diva who has Brewster and I wrapped around her furry brown paws! She’s not much for purring or meowing, but she gets her point across on sheer attitude! Savannah is best known for being on chippy patrol while snoozing with one eye open on the windowsill, hiding behind furniture and scaring the beegeebees out of Brewster when he walks by, climbing to the top of the kitchen cabinets, her infamous leap from the top of the refrigerator (OMG!), rolling on her back for belly rubs, blinking her eyes slowly like an owl, and chasing imaginary creatures that lurk under the comforter on the bed! She won our hearts the minute we met her!
