Who needs football and turkey when there are DOGS on Thanksgiving? Tune in to NBC at noon today (immediately following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade) and watch The National Dog Show Presented by Purina. 2,000 of the greatest dogs in the country came together in Oaks, Pa. two weekends ago, all vying for Best in Show. Watch as the best dog of each breed competes in group competition (herding, working, toy, hound, terrier, sporting, and non-sporting) and meet two new breeds – the Coton de Tulear and the Wire Haired Vizsla. The CFA World Cat Show had a wonderful “Meow Mall” filled with 40+ vendors selling all things feline! Of course I brought home presents for Brewster and Savannah. Brewster loves his new mouse filled with organic catnip from California that we purchased at The Nantucket Cat booth. He was dragging it around the house by the tail today. I’m pretty sure that he thinks it’s real … or at least that it was at one time! I have a feeling that it will be coming to bed with us tonight! 🙂

The Cat Fanciers’ Association World Cat Show is being held this weekend at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Oaks, Pa. What a wonderful international event! There are 19 rings, a great Meow Mall for shopping, cat agility, lectures and demonstrations, tours, and the most beautiful cats in the world! Over 1000 of them! I had so much fun visiting yesterday and, of course, photographing!
