I celebrated July 4th at an old fashioned community festival that featured a car show, entertainment, games, food, and yes, I found some dogs, too! I’m still downloading images, but thought I’d process and post this one that included some flags in celebration of today’s holiday. Stay tuned for more car images in the days ahead. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Shoes and diamonds, of course! Or…shoes encrusted with diamonds! Need I say more?
[Okay, maybe I’d add chocolate to the list!]

Back in January I posted an image of this very barn nestled in a snowy landscape. Click here to view the previous image. Today’s blog image was taken a few weeks ago after the last of the snow had melted, but before the Spring color arrives. I’ve been wanting to photograph this scene for quite a while, but the light was just never the way I envisioned it in my mind. On this day, however, the late afternoon sun was in the perfect spot to highlight the barn. Snap…snap…snap…..mission accomplished!

My bathroom vanity can’t hold a candle to the amount of grooming tools that some dogs require to get ready for the show ring! I love to watch the grooming process….bathing, clipping nails, trimming, brushing, combing, spritzing, spraying, and adding finishing touches just before ring time. I wonder if this pooch is thinking….”Can you spray my hair so I can at least SEE?” Below is one groomer’s bag of tools in the benching area.

Rodale Cycling & Fitness Park in Trexlertown, Pa. has a wonderful 3-lane looping track for bicycles, roller blades, and walkers. There is also a nice nature trail through the woods. I’ve walked the track many times and it’s 1 mile long on the outer loop and .6 miles on the inner. Nice and flat, too! I had my camera along last time and took a few photos along the way, including this one where you can see the repeating lanes of the track … slow walkers on the left, roller blades in the middle, and fast bikes to the right.
