I Love Spring!

I was headed from Point A to Point B in Allentown over the weekend and had a “Whoa! Stop!” moment when I spotted this scene in a park. It was an area with a horse riding trail, museum and these beautiful pink and white trees! This was photographed with the Lensbaby Composer and Soft Focus Optic. I am getting lazy and don’t feel like dragging my tripod around, so the Lensbaby is just the ticket for shooting hand-held. I decided to remove most of the sky as the blue really distracted me. Should I have cropped more to remove ALL of the sky? I’m not sure….
Gorgeous scene – and I would have stopped too! You could crop more, but you want to leave room for those gorgeous white trees, so it’s a ‘toss up’ for me too. The composition is lovely as it is.
Gorgeous, Betsy! I’d be afraid to clip those beautiful white trees and that’s more important than a little bit of sky, IMO. Beautifully composed!
There’s no evidence you’re getting comments, so sorry if they all of a sudden show up.
I like the image with a bit of sky. I wasn’t distracted by it. Very nice color and the soft focus makes it quite relaxing. I ordered a soft focus optic which I hope to have some time this week. Can’t wait to try it. Lovely spring picture.
