A couple of weeks ago I posted an image of a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, or at least the nose of a WPG, and asked folks to identify the breed.  It was a bit tough to distinguish between this breed and the German Wirehaired Pointer because they look very much alike.  Well, at the last dog show I attended, I attempted to photograph both breeds together so that I could compare them and hopefully do a better of job of recognizing which is which.  I wasn’t able to get an image of them together, but I did photograph both breeds.  Above is the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and below is the German Wirehaired Pointer.  Both are beautiful dogs!  In the top image, the WPG is poking his head out from under his handler’s skirt – so cute!
