Collin Raye’s acoustical show at the Carlisle Theater was fabulous!!

When I shot this image I didn’t realize how well the background color matched the Shih Tzu’s bow!  I believe that the handler was standing off in the background and the pink color is her blouse.  The Terrier and Toy Groups were shown indoors at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in Macungie.  This Shih Tzu was sitting on top of the grooming table just waiting for his or her turn in the ring.  His or her?  C’mon, with a pink bow this has GOT to be a girl dog!

…I might be just a little scared!  When I saw this scene it reminded me of the Coppertone ad where the black dog is tugging on the back of  the little girl’s swimsuit and you can see her suntan line.   This little dog wanted to play and the girl was holding her mom’s hand and seemed like she wanted to pet him but when he got too close she pulled away.  I think he was ready to tug on her pants to get her attention, just like in the Coppertone ad.

They say that accessories sometimes make the outfit.  In this case, it was the blue barrettes worn by this Lhasa Apso that caught my attention!  This HAS to be a girl dog, don’t you think?  I always think that the cute and fluffy toy dogs are girls because they just look so…well, feminine.  Of course not all of them are girls, but it just seems so hard to look at a face like this and call him “George” or some other boy-dog name.  But guess what?  This IS a boy dog!  His name is James, GCH CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond….I never would have guessed!  James is the #1 Lhasa in the country.  Well, at least he’s wearing blue barrettes and not pink ones!  🙂

Now that’s an arm full of fur, isn’t it?  I was walking toward the show ring tent and saw this woman carrying 3 adorable Bichon Frise.  Such a cute scene!  It was one of those moments where I had about 2 seconds to take the photo and then they were gone.  On this particular day there were many dogs being carried because the ground was getting muddy from all of the foot traffic.  I would say that carrying the dogs is a better alternative to having to bathe them all again for the show!
