Today’s post is a little break from the doggie world. Here’s an image of some pretty glassware that I thought was an interesting scene from a recent shopping excursion. Processing included PhotoShop, Topaz and a texture layer.

As with any experience that is new to you, there are always some unanswered questions that make you say, “Hmmmm………”. One of those questions for me revolves around showing Bulldogs and the fact that almost every handler places their hand beneath the dog’s chin when they are in front of the judge. I’ve often wondered why, and so I did a little research. I haven’t really found much, but a couple of websites about showing bulldogs stress that the hand should be placed there to support the dog’s chin. I’m guessing that there is more to it than that, so if anyone can enlighten me, please do!

What do you think these Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers are looking at? They were under the tent at the Bryn Mawr Kennel Club show last month with their handlers, waiting for their turn to go into the ring. The ring was off to the left, so they were watching the other dogs very attentively. I am forever amazed at the calmness that all of these dogs exhibit [most of the time!] when they are in the presence of so many other dogs at a show!

Non-Sporting Group 1st at the Huntington Valley Kennel Club show last month was the Dalmation, Ian [GCH Spotlights Ruffian] shown here with handler Michael Scott. They are a great team!
