If any of Santa’s reindeer aren’t able to make the trip on Christmas Eve, this guy might be a perfect replacement! This is just one of the festive dogs that was in attendance today at the Delaware Water Gap Kennel Club show in Allentown, Pa.

I was driving in Lancaster, Pa. and saw a flash of white flying above a nearby cemetery. My initial thought was to wonder if it could be a snowy owl. I had my camera gear in the car and pulled into the cemetery to try and get a better look. Turns out it was not one, but two red tail hawks. They were beautiful! These were shot with my 70-200 mm lens plus a 1.4 extender. I like the photo below where you get a view from the front of one and the other hawk is facing the opposite direction which lets us see the beautiful tail and coloring.

The Grill on Sunset Beach in Cape May, NJ is the perfect spot to relax, grab a bite to eat and watch the sun set on the Atlantic!

I saw the lighthouse as I was driving in to Cape May, NJ. The GPS was programmed with a destination of Cape May Point, NJ, which is a nature area that includes the lighthouse. When the GPS said we had reached our destination, there was no lighthouse to be found. How can you lose something THAT big? It’s 157 feet tall! Thankfully just a quick few blocks away was this majestic structure, which, by the way, is still operational. Visitors can climb the 199 stairs to the top for an exceptional few of the peninsula. Definitely a “bird’s eye” view!

It was one year ago today that Gabriel joined our family after being fostered by Siamese Cat Rescue Center (thank you Auntie Rinn!). He was a frightened and shy little kitten, but full of spunk right from the start. His deep blue eyes and creamy white fur are a gorgeous combination. As he has gotten a little older (he’s now 1-1/2 years old) he has developed more color and stripes to his lynx point coat. He has mellowed into his role of chief trouble maker in the house and he loves to frolic with his big brother and sister. He loves to play with toys and scatters them all under various pieces of furniture and kitchen appliances. He enjoys belly rubs and is quite the chatterbox at times. We can’t imagine our house and family without him! Thank you SCRC for all that you do to foster and find homes for the most wonderful breed of cat … the Siamese!
