When I’m surrounded by adorable dogs at a show, sometimes it takes something extra special to catch my attention.  In the case of the image above, first it was the tiny dachshund and then it was the stars tattoo.  This little dog was simply adorable and oh so tiny.  Just look at the size of the dog compared to the size of the black shoe!  I love the way his/her paws are tucked underneath as well.  So relaxed!   There was another buff colored doxie nearby that was even smaller … but I’ll save that image for another day!

Jim Thorpe, Pa. is filled with beautiful Victorian architecture.  Several years ago I photographed this exact same home and it ended up being part of a newspaper article that featured my photography.  What a surprise to run into a neighbor who told me that they owned several properties, this being one of them!  The house is beautifully maintained and decorated and is always eye-catching.  I photographed the home again recently and  processed this image with several layers of Topaz filters to achieve the effect I was after.

What could be better than a kiss on the nose from your best friend?

The Harrisburg Kennel Club Dog Show always has some great vendors with cool dog-related items.  I happily came home with a Sydney Love dog handbag that I just adore…so cute!  I saw a vendor with this Pug t-shirt displayed, so I had to go and find a Pug to photograph so I could put them together in one frame.  I was hoping that he/she would strike the same pose as on the shirt, but it wasn’t happening!  🙂

I would like a Saint Bernard so that in case we have a dreadful winter like last year….and I am out shoveling over 2 feet of snow….and become stranded in the back yard….that I will then have a big fluffy doggie to rescue me….or at least keep me warm until the spring thaw!  Do you think I could teach him to use a litter box???
